What this app does
Konform EU Guarantee displays the EU harmonised legal guarantee notice and the official EU GARAN durability label on a merchant's storefront, using artwork published by the European Commission.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect, store or process any personal data of shoppers. The app does not read customer records, orders, carts, email addresses, payment details or browsing behaviour.
The app contains no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts.
One technical detail, stated plainly. The GARAN label is served from Shopify's CDN, but the full-size legal guarantee notice is a set of large files served from our own server at konform.aksisnet.com. When a shopper opens the notice, their browser requests that file from us, which means we necessarily receive their IP address and browser user agent, as any web server does. These requests appear only in short-lived operational logs kept by our hosting provider for troubleshooting; we do not store them ourselves, do not analyse them, do not set cookies on them, and they are not linked to any identity. The file is served with a one-year cache header, so a returning shopper's browser normally does not contact us again.
Data we do process
- Shop domain and access token. Required by Shopify to keep the app installed and authorised. Stored in our database for as long as the app remains installed.
- Product metafields. The guarantee duration, brand and model identifier you enter. These are stored by Shopify on your products; we read and write them but keep no separate copy.
Where data is stored
Session records are stored on our application server. Product data stays within your Shopify store. We do not transfer data outside these systems and we do not sell or share data with third parties.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall the app, its session records are deleted. We also handle Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact. Since no shopper data is stored, the first two have nothing to return or erase; the third removes the shop's session records.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you as a merchant. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
